I know there's a lot of controversy surrounding replica jerseys and knockoff jerseys from China, but the fact is people are buying them and as someone who likes to have nice things, I'm pretty impressed with my $25.64 purchase.
Originally I wanted to get a Limited or Elite NFL Jersey, but those cost around $130 and $250 respectively, and good luck finding the player, color, size and type of jersey you want (unless it's Lynch or Wilson). Kam Chancellor just signed a five-year contract and you can't find him in wolf grey anywhere.
I bought from AliExpress after seeing several reviews of people who purchased from different stores on there. I just did a search for "Chancellor" and sorted by highest seller rating. I figured if I bought from the seller with the highest rating I'd have a smaller chance of getting screwed (similar to eBay).
As a Washington resident, you'll run into an issue when registering a WA address while signing up for an account. Something about WA not accepting AliExpresses escrow service. So when you register, put a non WA address, and when you make your purchase, be sure to message the seller and give them the proper address you want the item shipped to.
The total time it took from the time I placed the order until the time I received the jersey was 23 days. The seller told me after I placed the order that Chancellor wasn't available, and proceeded to ask if he could choose any other player's jersey. I said no, I don't want any random player's jersey, and that I specifically bought Chancellor from them because it was hard to find. I was given a link to another website separate from AliExpress that had a huge list of Made in China products. I settled on Tate in the wolf grey, after four days of back and forth messaging trying to find out if the jerseys I wanted were available.
On November 10th, I had only been offered the Wilson, Lynch, and Harvin shirts, so I told the seller I'd choose the Harvin one. On November 11th, he let me know he'd ship as soon as possible, and on November 12th, he confirmed the shipping address again. A few days later, I received a tracking number through the website, but a few days later, a new one appeared, crossed out in place of the old one. I didn't hear anything about the shipment until November 21st, nine days later, when I was able to track it through the Chinese postal service. I received the shirt eight days later, on November 29th.
I'm 185 cm tall, weigh 86 kg, and I purchased a size M. The shirt fits well, but is a bit long for my taste.
Here's what I noticed:
Several loose threads on the shirt.
Some stitching is excellent and even along the seams, others are uneven, and in some places, one seam overlaps another.
The NFL logo on the front of the neck features a portion of the stitching that runs through the logo itself, not the edge.
The numbers are smaller than on the official jerseys.
The letter "A" in HARVIN features what appears to be a sloppy stitching, with visible stitching.
The "Seahawks" script on the left shoulder is green when it should be gray.
The colors are not all the same. HARVIN and the shoulder numbers are the same color, but different from the larger numbers and patterns running along the shoulders.
If you look at the edges of the stitched numbers, you'll notice some small imperfections. See photos.
The top of the jersey with the HARVIN script appears to have been held under some sort of paperweight for years and has a permanent crease.
You can see some black threads on the outside of the jersey, coming from the black inner collar.
The neck area is misaligned. Notice the gap on the sides of the feather pattern around the neck and the shape of the neck area from front to back.
Some blue areas around the shoulders and sleeves are misaligned. These areas are also noticeably larger than on authentic jerseys (the teardrop area on the shoulders, note the patterns and alignment where SEAHAWKS is written).
The "on field" patch is off-center.
The positives:
- I paid less than $26 for it, including shipping.
- If anything were to happen to it, I wouldn't be too upset.
- It's a Seahawks jersey.
The workmanship seems solid despite all the imperfections. I haven't washed it yet.
They haven't ripped me off.
I've already received tons of compliments and have only worn it once.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I just wanted to write a review for anyone who's in the same situation as me or is thinking about buying one but hasn't decided yet.
